US growth forecasts cut by OECD due to tariffs, policy uncertainty and reduced immigration

  • US economic growth is forecast to slow significantly over the next two years, with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development cutting its expectations due to Donald Trump's tariff regime. GDP is expected to grow 1.6% in 2025 and 1.5% in 2026, down from the 2.8% seen last year and below the initial forecasts of 2.2% and 1.6% the OECD made in March.
