The GLD delivered nearly 18% return in a matter of just 3 months which is a rather unusual performance for a risk-off asset. It appears that more speculative buyers are now chasing higher returns through gold and that's concerning for near-term performance. Central Banks, on the other hand, have scaled-down their increases in gold reserves.
