Powell: A majority of FOMC feel it will be appropriate to reduce rates again by year-end

    Fed Chair Jerome Powell on Tuesday said that "a solid majority" of the Federal Open Market Committee think it will be appropriate to cut interest rates in the remaining four meetings of the year. Powell said the decision to cut will depend on the incoming data, and he is particularly watching inflation and the "gradually cooling" labor market.
